Our work: Special events

Throughout the year, as a Church we sometimes holds special events, such as:

  • Church Parties
  • Jacob Joins (After the service, we all stay together and share a buffet)
  • Easter Conventions
  • Harvest Conventions
  • Carol Service

In recent times as we have learnt to adapt with the Coronavirus pandemic, we have held a large variety of online and in person events, that we otherwise wouldn't have done. You can see some images from those events below...

Please also check this page for any upcoming events that may be happening at the Church.

Please get in touch if you've any questions or would like more information about an upcoming event.

Carols in the Car Park (December 2020)

In December 2020, we held an outdoor Carol service - Carols in the car park. Due to the Coronavirus rules, it wasn't feasible to hold the Carol service inside, as we couldn't sing. Therefore, we held it in the car park - where we could sing! We had a wonderful evening, as members of the congregation acted out a simple nativity along with some great carols. It was great to be able to come together and have over 100 people join in singing praise to the Infant King! A big thanks to all those who organised it and for everyone who came along for following the COVID guidelines. Please note all COVID guidelines were followed, those taking part kept to family bubbles and people were sat socially distant during the evening.

Outdoor Church (July - October 2020)

Following the reopening of Churches in July, we decided to meet outside, which enabled us to sing and to be blessed by the wonderful weather! We had 12 consecutive Sundays where the weather was dry! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting outside and hope to do it again in the future - albiet under different circumstances, where we can sit more closely!

'Hope in these funny days' - Live Facebook event (June 2020)

During lockdown, we tried to reach people in various ways. Alongside our online services and video testimonies, we ran a live event through Facebook, answering various questions that people may be asking during that time. The event was a real success and we were really pleased with how it went. Watch it above!
